ORGANIZED BY

CorrelAid Switzerland works with non-profits and socially-conscious organisations, to help them use their data to increase their impact. Our network collects data scientists with wide-ranging experience, from students to seasoned professionals.

CorrelAid Switzerland provides no-cost data science services to non-profits and organisations with a positive social mission, with the explicit goal of deploying and maintaining services for long-lasting impact for the non-profit.

We are currently expanding our core team, and always looking for people willing to help organise! Please get in contact with us if you’d like to join up.

PARTNERS

DataCross is a new donor-funded charitable association to fund data science work for non-profits and NGOs. We build teams of volunteer data scientists, define and manage projects, and ensure monitoring and implementation is built-in to deployment. We help non-profits make the best use of their data for social benefit.

The R Bootcamp are Swiss-based data scientists who have jointly spent over 25 years doing data science with R for both research and industry. Their goal is to help you learn the skills needed to discover and communicate insights from data and join the data revolution. Visit therbootcamp.com for upcoming training events.

CorrelAid is a non-partisan non-profit network of data science enthusiasts who want to change the world through data science. We dedicate our work to the social sector and those organizations that strive for making the world a better place. In order to improve data literacy in society, we share our knowledge within our network and beyond and are always looking for ways to broaden our horizons.

CorrelAidX Konstanz, the local chapter in the “birthplace” of CorrelAid, was founded in 2019 and has since then organized several R-workshops, data roundtables and data hackdays in cooperation with the data journalism team of SWR. Additional past and future cooperation partners include the NPO “Studieren ohne Grenzen” (Study without borders) and the Open-Data Portal of the City of Konstanz. Please get in contact if you want to join us or just have a look.

We gratefully acknowledge the Basel Stadt Department for Open Government Data for providing the data analysed in this workshop.
